The Ministry of Culture and Tourism (Greek: Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού και Τουρισμού) is a government department of Greece entrusted with the preservation of the country's cultural heritage, the arts, as well as sports, through the subordinate General Secretariat for Sport. Established during the Regime of the Colonels in 1971, it received its current name in October 2009, when the Ministry for Touristic Development was merged into it.
